Upward Bound Program records
Scope and Contents
The Upward Bound records consist of a pamphlet about the 1972 summer program, Statement of MSU Admissions Policy for Upward Bound Students, and yearbooks. The yearbooks contain lists of student in the program, photographs of the participants, activities, poetry and essays.

Historical Note
An Upward Bound Program began at MSU in 1966. The program still exists today and is administered by the Associate Provost for Academic Student Services and Multicultural Issues. The Upward Bound program assists low income high school students from the Lansing area or those whose family hold no bachelors degree, to finish high school and attend a college or university.
