Historical Note
The Pesticide Research Center was established in 1964. Financed with funds from the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture with matches from the State of Michigan, Michigan State University, and the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station, a building for the Pesticide Research Center was created in 1969. Circa 2000, it became the Center for Integrated Plant Systems. This organization then dissolved and its assignments distributed to Plant Pathology, Entomology, Integrated Pest Management and Enviroweather.
