This collection contains the responses to a questionnaire sent to retired faculty from Michigan State University. The questionnaire was administered by professor Leo A. Haak. The results were the basis for a book about retirement that Haak published in 1971.

Biographical Note

Leo A. Haak, was a social sciences professor at Michigan State University. He was born in Tipton, Iowa on October 31, 1903. He received his B.A. from Cornell College in Iowa and his M.A. from the State University of Iowa. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University. Haak was head of the Department of Effective Living at MSU until his retirement in 1970. He died April 3, 1976.
