Historical Note
The Agricultural Marketing and Utilization Center at Michigan State University was founded by the Board of Trustees in May 1961. The purposes of the center were to coordinate agricultural marketing and utilization research, extension, and teaching programs in the College of Agriculture, to publicize the programs under way, to develop new educational and research programs needed by producers, business firm mangers, and consumer, and to develop student courses and a curriculum in agricultural business.
