Biographical/Historical

Michigan State University established the Center for Composite Material and Structures on July 1, 1983. In addition to being part of the College of Engineering, it provides a coordination between MSU and other organizations. When the center was established it had a particularly strong relationship with the Michigan Molecular Institute (MMI) of Midland, Michigan. Its goal is to facilitate molecular level research in polymer chemistry and physics.
