This collection consists of letters from Harrison R. Hunt, Professor Emeritus and former chairman of the Department of Zoology, to "Miss Mac" Henderson, former secretary of the Department of Zoology.

Biographical Note
Harrison Randall Hunt was born March 7, 1889 in Conneaut, Ohio to Henry and Agnes Hunt. He earned a B.S. from Allegheny College (Pennsylvania) in 1912, and a M.A. (1913) and Ph.D. (1916) from Harvard University. He was hired by Michigan State College's Department of Zoology in September 1923. While at MSC, Hunt taught zoology, served as a zoologist in the Agricultural Experiment Station, was head of the Zoology Deparment, and conducted research in Genetics. Following his retirement in July 1954, Hunt kept an office on campus and continued his research into effect of heredity on tooth decay in rats.
Hunt was married to Jane M. Fisher, with whom he had five children. He died on February 15, 1978
