Historical Note

The Spartan Round Table, formed in the late 1940s, was an informal meeting between Michigan State University (then Michigan State College) President John A. Hannah and student representatives from numerous campus groups. The round table served as a means of communication between students and the administration. The president discussed administrative and financial problems as well as policies. Students raised concerns about policy implications and campus dissatisfactions.
