Scope and Content

The records of the Center for Environmental Quality consist of meeting records, curriculum revisions, correspondence, and a proposal, all from the period before the center actually materialized. The collection also contains posters from a lecture series featuring speakers such as Ralph Nader, a study of ecosystem design and management, a report on transportation services, and a funding proposal in the Center for Environmental Quality Report.

Historical Note

During its existence from 1976 to 1980, the Center for Environmental Quality reported to the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies. The Center may have assumed some of the responsibilities of the Waste Control Authority which existed from 1972 to 1975.
