Records of the Department of Elementary an Special Education consist of a guide to a Master's Degree in Elementary Education (1973) and copies of the TTT (Trainers of Teacher Trainers) Reporter (1971-1973).

The collection also includes unpublished annual reports for 1962-1971.

Historical Note

During the period of operations (1964-1981), the Department of Elementary and Special Education was a sub unit of the College of Education. It was preceded by the Elementary Education Department (1952-1953). From 1960 to 1963, "interest groups" replaced departments. In 1981, the responsibilities of the department were taken over by the Administration and Curriculum Department and the Counseling, Psychology, and Special Education Department.
