Biographical Note
James L. Goatley was born February 3, 1932 in Tell City, Indiana. He received his B.S. degree in 1953 and his M.S. degree in 1958 and a Ph.D. in biochemistry in 1962. He received all his degrees from Purdue. He came to MSU in 1960 as an instructor and became an assistant professor in 1963, an associate professor in 1966 and a professor in 1970. From 1968 to 1971 he was a professor in Justin Morrill College. In 1977 he moved to the Natural Science Department. He was also a member of the Faculty Dialog. James Goatlley died November 19, 1980.
