The Sounds and Sondettes collection
Scope and Content
The collection contains a poster of The Sounds and Sondettes. Also included are a compilation of sound recordings of four performances of The Sounds and Sondettes entitled Anthology, 1965-1967. These performances were held at an AEPi Rush Party at the Tice House, a Brody Hall dance, a Vogues Concert at Shaw Hall, and The Dells - Sunday with the Sounds and Sondettes. In addition to the sound recordings in the electronic resources are a collection of photographs of the band, and playlists.

Permission to publish material from this collection must be obtained from University Archives & Historical Collections, Michigan State University. Audio recordings cannot be duplicated.
The Sounds and Sondettes (1965-1967) were a musical group comprised of Michigan State University students. The Sounds were Ron Hunter, Bryant Mitchell, Myles Marcovitch, and Roger Edwards. Patty Burnette, Kathleen Wilson, and Martha Taylor were the Sondettes. The men mostly played instruments but did some vocals. The women mostly did vocals. The Sounds and Sondettes performed songs by Motown artists.
