Historical Note

The Institute of Public Utilities was established in 1965. It is an independent nonprofit educational and research unit of Michigan State University and is affiliated with the College of Social Science as well as a number of research centers. The Institute of Public Utilities’ “neutral analytical and instructional practice is informed by a broad spectrum of traditional and applied academic disciplines including the social sciences, law, business, engineering, and communications.” [Source: http://ipu.msu.edu]
