Scope and Contents

The John P. Beck papers contains materials related to Zolton Ferency's political campaigns in 1978 and 1982, Michigan Democratic Socialist Caucus, and the MSU Iranian Film Project. Also of note in the collection is a poster for a 1971 MSU Vietnam War protest rally, a 1973 conference program about MSU's involvement in foreign policy in the 1970s, and a booklet by the groups, The Daily Death Toll and Boston Area Clergy and Laity Concerned, about the Honeywell company's involvement in development and production of weapons systems and components.

Biographical Note

John P. Beck is an Associate Professor in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University. Receiving an undergraduate degree in Humanities - Literary Studies from Michigan State University in 1977 and a Masters degree in Adult and Continuing Education with a certificate in Industrial relations from The University of Michigan in 1982.
