Biographical Note
Clifford W. Welsch was born in 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his B.S. in chemistry in 1957, his M.S. in physiological chemistry in 1962 and his Ph.D. in physiological chemistry in 1965 all from the University of Missouri. Welsch came to MSU in 1965 as assistant professor in the Department of Natural Science. Since that time he has also worked in the Department of Physiology, Department of Anatomy, and Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He retired from MSU in 1995. During his career he served on committees, acted as a consultant and was associate editor of several journals.
