Biographical Note
Howard D. Severance was born November 1, 1882. At the time of his entrance into Michigan Agricultural (now Michigan State University) he came from the East Jordan, Michigan area. He received his B.S. degree in the Mechanical Course in 1903 from M.A.C. He was the city engineer in Monterey, California. He also received a Civil Engineering degree in 1913 from M.A.C., possibly while he was still in California. Howard Severance passed away in 1973.
