Biographical/Historical
Earle Lewis Waite (1892-1952) attended Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) in the years leading up to World War I. Waite was a member of the Student Army Training Corps and served in the U.S. Army during the war. He and Jennie Belle Smith were married on June 15, 1918. At the time of his death in 1952, he was working as a landscape architect for the State Highway Department in Cadillac, Michigan.
