Historical Note

The Department of Osteopathic Medicine in the College of Osteopathic Medicine was formed with the creation of the college in 1970. The department was organized to represent all of the major clinical disciplines involved in the practice of osteopathic medicine. The department is involved with the development of curriculum, training, research, community health and continuing education.
