Scope and Contents
The Office of Supportive Services records includes brochures, McNair / Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) Scholars Program research abstracts and brochures, a Summer University Program Excellence Required (SUPER) anniversary booklet and photogrpaphs of SUPER, students, staff and activities. The records also include annual reports for 1981-1984.

Historical Note
The Office of Supportive Services was created in 1968 under the Special Project Office but did not appear in the campus directories until 1972. The Summer Research Opportunity Program was created in 1985. It has been administered by the Associate Provost for Academic Student Services and Multicultural Issues. It is currently part of the Neighborhood Student Success Collaborative (NSSC) and includes the TRIO Student Support Services Program.
