Scope and Contents

Horan's collection consists of postcards and photographs. His postcard collection contains both baseball and football players, scenes, and buildings of Michigan State University. Of note, are the postcards of the fraternity and society houses and two postcards that depict the burning Engineering Building. Horan's photographs consist of interior and exterior shots of the Olympic House as well as one photograph of five uniformed soldiers.

Biographical Note

Harold Horan, from Lansing, graduated from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) in 1916 with a degree in engineering. In 1915, Horan was a second Lieutenant of the First Battalion, Company C. Horan's other extracurricular activities included the Engineering Society and the Olympic Society.
