Scope and Contents
The Intercollegiate Athletics Baseball records consists of a 1914 bulletin board announcement, a modern letterhead, 1983 scorecard, a 1999 baseball camp pamphlet, 1952 training camp information and game programs from the 1999, 2001,2002, 2009, and 2010 seasons. Also available are photographs of the baseball team and players for 1870 to 1969.

Historical Note
Baseball was the first organized athletic activity on campus beginning in 1865-1866 with the Star Baseball Club. The 1884-1885 team became the first to compete with a intercollegiate schedule. Michigan State baseball teams have won three Big Ten titles (1954,1971,1979), appeared in four NCAA tournaments (1954, 1971, 1978,1979,), and appeared in the College World Series in 1954.
