Scope and Contents
This collection contains manuscripts of two papers written by Carol Harding on the intramural sports programs at Michigan State University. The papers are “Women’s IM: Issues and Directions,” 1974 and “Sports for All: The Making of a Sports Program for Students of Michigan State University,” 1995.

Biographical Notes
Carol Harding earned her B.S. (1958) and M.A. (1964) from Michigan State University. In 1962 she was hired by MSU and became the first full-time Director of Women's Intramural Sports in the Big Ten Conference. In 1976 she was named Associate Director of Intramural Sports and Recreative Services. She retired in 1995.
