Scope and Contents

This collection contains negatives and photographs taken by Bransdorfer during his time as a student at Michigan State College. The photographs are of his friends A. Farquhason, J.J. Albert, Joan Benson, Con Williams (Spartan Editor), Pat McCarthy, Doug Trezise, and Beatrice Wilson. The postcards in the collection are of campus buildings, and were purchased by Bransdorfer at a stamp show in Alma, Michigan.

Biographical Note

Arnold Bransdorfer graduated from Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) in 1949. He worked as a journalist for several campus publications, including the State News, the Spartan, and the Wolverine yearbook. He was also involved in Blue Key (treasurer), Theta Alpha Phi (treasurer), the Student Council, Alpha Epsilon Rho, Student Theater, Kappa Alpha Mu, the Dionysians, and Hillel.
