Historical Note

The Karma Film Society was a registered student organization in 1975 whose primary objective was to “unite students of selected curricula within this working framework to produce high quality products of various media.” Modeled as a corporation, the Karma Film Society was subdivided into divisions. The organization proposed a Record Co-op providing a low cost alternative to purchase, sell, and trade used LP’s and tapes. The “Krisma” division of the Karma Film Society would be involved in film production, marketing, promotion, and a newspaper focused on media issues of the Krisma label which would include contributions from free lance journalists and a classified section. The Karma Film Society does not appear as a registered student organization after 1975.
