Scope and Contents

The Art Freeman papers contain dance cards from 1936 to 1938, programs from the first and second Interfraternity convocation, invitations to various dances, pamphlets about student and Greek life on campus, two separate commencement booklets from 1938, student council stationary with an envelope, and a newspaper clipping on hazing in fraternities.

Biographical Note

Art Freeman grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan. He attended Michigan State College (now Michigan State University), graduating in 1938. While a student, he was on the Interfraternity Council, National I.F.C. Council, Student Council, Vocational Guidance Council, and a member of the J-Hop Committee.
