Biographical Note
Michael Joseph Foley, also known as Joseph Foley, was an instructor in the Department of Military Science at Michigan State College (now University) in the 1920s and early 1930s. Sgt. Foley was in charge of the calvary unit. He was born in Ireland in 1882. Foley became a naturalized American citizen. He died in 1947 and is buried at Evergreen cemetery in Lansing. While at Michigan State he dated Marion Dammon, Elanore Thompson's friend.
