Scope and Contents
The collection consists of a history of the Albert J. Cook Arthropod Research Collection by Gary Parsons which covers from 1889 to 2000. Also included is a copy of a status report by Roland Fletcher about the growth of the Entomology Museum from 1954-1963.

Biographical Note
Gary Parsons is the manager of the Albert J. Cook Arthropod Research Collection at Michigan State University. He was appointed to this position in 1999 and was the first full-time collection manager. He works with the collection, leads tours, and helps researchers. He also teaches insect taxonomy courses. Parsons is a specialist working with beetles.
