Scope and Contents
The Friends of the Library collection consists of one scrapbook with constitutions from 1943 and 1962, correspondence, news clippings, programs and menus form dinners, minutes from a few meetings, a member list, lists of officers, newsletters, a description of the Friends of the Library room, and photographs. Other materials in the collection consist of brochures, reports, and publications.

Historical Note
The Friends of the Library was established in 1943 to assist the university in acquiring books. Membership was open to anyone who was interested. The group held programs and raised money to buy special library materials.
