Historical Note
The MSU Black Book was inspired by the Green Book created by Victor Green. MSU Professor Jasmine Lee and students Triniti Watson, Alexis Frederick, Alexis Wright and Jazmyn Bradford created the first MSU Black Book in 2018. Triniti Watson recieved a grant for a second edition and called the team of editors The Black Book Initiative. (source MSU alumna to bring back MSU Black Book, State News, February 23 2021)
