Jack W. Ostrander collection
Scope and Contents
The Jack Ostrander collecton contains an issue of the alumni newsletter for Lambda Chi Alpha from 1958, MSU identification cards, photogrpahs of Ostrander, a 1949 composite photo of the members of Lambda Chi Alpha, and a composite photo of the 1948 ROTC Summer Camp Company A, 3rd Platoon. Also included is a paperweight commemorating the ground breaking for the MSU Credit Union in 1970 and a plaque acknowledging Ostranders contribution to organizing the MSU Wrestling Take Down Club. There are photo postcards of MSU Class Rivalry / Class Rush activities from circa 1912. On the back are short notes, student Sumner Hill wrote to his sister, Hazel Hill. Hazel was Jack Ostrander's mother.

Biographical / Historical
Jack Ostrander graduated in 1951 with a BS degree from the School of Business and Public Servic with a major in Recreation and Physical Education for Men. In 1960 he became the assistant manager of the MSU Student Union building. From 1973 until his retirement in 1975 he was the manager of McDonel Hall.
Ostrander was involved with the fromation of the MSU Credit Union. He also one of the founders of the Take Down Club, a booster club for MSU Wrestling.
