Scope and Contents
The collection contains a J-Hop program for 1916 and two receipts for classes and fees. The photographs include a 1914 class rivalry photo postcard, image of Wells Hall, and another image of Wells Hall with an unlit bonfire in front. Other photographs include a group of men in front of a house labeled Campus Club and dated December 14, 1913 and a scene of the class rivalry tug of war across the Red Cedar river. Of note are two photograph postcards that refer to a "movie" being made in Lansing in 1914. One shows people riding on top of trolleys, the other shows a train station, trolley and people.

Biographical Note
Herbert Charles Bartlett, from Jackson, Michigan, graduated from Michigan State University in 1917 with a B.S. in engineering. He was a member of Athenaeum literary society. As of 1930 he was working in South Bend, Indiana as a draftsman.
