Scope and Contents

The scrapbook contains images of campus buildings, class rivalry postcards and poster, and class ballots. There are also photographs and programs from Camp Custer, an ROTC camp. Materials relating to the Eunomian Literary Society include a newsletter, programs, a circa 1934 reunion photograph. There is also a photograph of the Scabbard and Blade Swing Out Convocation from November 11, 1925. Materials relating to football include homecoming programs from 1922 and 1923, a stadium dedication program, photographs of football players and people in the stands. Also of note, are sophomore barbeque programs and photograph, a photograph of wood being prepared for a bonfire in front of Wells Hall, a Union Vaudeville Review program from circa 1926, a J-Hop photograph from 1925, and a photograph of Eunomian Literary Society members digging the foundation for the Union building with a pin that says "Union Diggers." The collection also includes photographs of the Michigan Agricultural College Cadets and the 1925 student council. In addition there are three degrees from the Michigan State College Department of Engineering as well as a Landscape Architect License. There are also materials related to the Lansing Orpheus Club, the Central Michigan Alumni Club, and the Scabbard and Blade.

Biographical Note

Theodore Roosevelt Foster graduated from Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) in 1927. He majored in landscape. He was a member of the Eunomian Literary Society, Scabbard and Blade, was chairman of the J-Hop committee, a member of student council, and chairman of the sophomore barbeque. He played all-freshman baseball and participated in other class athletics.
