Scope and Contents

The collection contains the scrapbook of Florence Yeiter Young. The scrapbook includes photographs of her friends, a military field day program for 1915, a Gladmer Theater program, an Elmar Theater schedule for September 18, 1916, Omicron Nu Society bylaws and constitution, an issue of the 'Tic newsletter for June 1915 for the Eclectic Society, Feronian Society materials, and Hesperian Society materials. Also included are dance cards, athletic tickets, class rush posters, a photograph of the 7th Annual Horticulture show, an issue of the MAC Gossip newsletter for August 20, 1917 as well as two Holcad newspapers for March 22, 1915 and May 20, 1918, and an issue of the MAC Record for May 9, 1919. There are also house plans Young drew for a class assignment.

Biography

Leila Florence Yeiter Young attended Michigan Agricultural College from 1914 to 1918 and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Omicron Nu, Feronian Society, Sphinx, and Women's Student Council. She was a reporter for the Holcad, and was on the J-Hop Committee. She later married W. H. Young.
