Scope and Contents
Professor Spielberg was doing research for a book he planned on publishing on The Mexican messianic prophet named Pedro Rojas from the mid 1800’s. Rojas, Also known as “Tatita” was from the state of Nuevo Leon in northern Mexico. Spielberg transcribed several boxes of notes from the original, hard to read cursive handwriting for his research. Some of the transcriptions are from files held at the Archivo Municipal de Guerrero [Mexico]. Most of the numbered documents are from the Archivo Estatal de Nuevo Leon for which original box and folder numbers are not always provided. Folders in the Spielberg collection have a contents description as provided. Of particular note is Professor Spielbergs unpublished monograph manuscript on Tatita.
