A wrong is righted, August 8, 1943

 Item — Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

Photograph of a man in glasses, white shirt, and tie holding a technical drawing and examining a piece of machinery.

The text on the back of the photograph reads "A Wrong is Righted. Herded into assembly centers soon after Pearl Harbor, although their only fault was their Japanese ancestry, American-born Japanese have been given their freedom once more. Finding themselves again, after a year or more of internment, they are returning to civilian jobs, with many taking up the work they did in pre-Pearl Harbor days. The War Relocation Authority and church agencies have aided the American-Japanese in obtaining jobs after their release. The following series shows them, good Americans all, at their present jobs."
