Scope and Contents
The Chicano/Latino T-shirt and Textile collection consists draw upon many Midwest US related themes. Items included are a MSU ChiSPA team shirt for Las Comadres, Dia de la Mujer and other MSU Chicanx student and staff events; shirts from the campaigns of Elena Herrada for the Detroit City Charter Commission and Detroit School Board, the Tony Benavides Lansing Michigan mayoral campaign, and the imprisonment of Puerto Rican FALN member and political prisoner Oscar Lopez Rivera (President Obama commuted Lopez Rivera's sentence on January 17, 2017. Rivera lived in Chicago before capture and was held in an Indiana federal prison.). Other t-shirts commemorate United Farm Worker Union boycotts of Gallo Wine products and Cesar E. Chavez.

Physical Description
This size large black tshirt features red ink refering to the Ayotzinapa 43. It also has a gray graphic by Raul Valdex depicting a mother and child, a woman overlooking the sun and two hands with broken shackles. It is made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester and manufactured by Gildan.
