The Thomas Biersteker research collection consists of reports, interview transcripts, and other sources used in writing his book "Multinationals, the state, and control of the Nigerian economy." Biersteker interviewed many pivotal political figures including General Obasanjo (Head of State), General Gowon (Head of State) and others who subsequently had leadership roles. Besides the many unique interviews, this collection includes what may be the only copy of the material from the Nigerian Industrial Survey from the 1960s. The Federal Office of Statistics in Lagos had a fire in the 1990s, and all original material was reportedly lost.
