Lockwood collection of Romani Ethnology and Gypsy stereotypes contains several thousand books and periodicals, numerous visual depictions, over a thousand sound recordings, and several hundred examples of sheet music exploring the representation of Romani and Gypsy stereotypes. The William G. Lockwood Collection of Romani Ethnology and Gypsy Stereotypes is as geographically diverse as the Roma themselves, with publications from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
