Scope and Contents
The Wearing Gay History collection consist of approximately 3.5 linear feet of material dating approximately from 1972 to 2019. The collection includes T-shirts, research conducted by students in relation to the T-shirts, including correspondence and interviews, and publications related to the project.

Biographical / Historical
T-shirt created for the Christopher Street Detroit 1972 celebration, the first Gay Pride celebration in Michigan. The design of the shirt is attributed to Dennis Raymond, and it was printed by a group of people at 904 W. Forest Street, Detroit, Michigan. Among the people wearing the t-shirt were members of the Gay Liberation Front of Wayne State University.
