The correspondence series contains letters, emails, and postcards written and received by Stephen O. Murray from 1959-2019. The series includes correspondence from family members, friends, lovers, collaborators, editors, and researchers.
Correspondence files may include drafts by Stephen O. Murray or other authors, notes, clippings, research materials, and photographs. Some correspondence can be found in other series such as series 4: Writings and Publications and series 6: Reference and Research Materials.

Researchers are limited to accessing one folder at a time for security.
