"The purpose of the research was to study the aesthetics of rituals of a Limba group in northern Sierra Leone, in the capital town of Bafodea Town in Wara Wara Bafodea Chiefdom, Koinadugu District. In addition numerous material objects were collected which are gradually being donated to the Michigan State [University] Museum"--Simon Ottenberg, March 12, 2000, included in archive.

Simon Ottenberg is emeritus professor of Anthropology at the University of Washington, Seattle, where he was a faculty member from 1955-1991.
