Biographical / Historical
Albert H. Z. Carr (1902-1971), was a freelance writer (1931-1941), White House staff economic advisor (1944-1946), consultant to President Truman (1948-1952), member of U. S. government missions to England, China, and Germany. He was awarded the Order of Victor by the Republic of China in 1945. He wrote fourteen books, numerous magazine articles, and several film and television plays. Sometimes referred to as a "Renaissance Man," Carr was knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, including economics, history, diplomacy, and current events.
