Biographical / Historical
This collection is part of the private library of Maurice Martin de Ryck (1900-1964), which was acquired by Michigan State University in the 1960s. The notes, newspaper clippings and other ephemera gathered by de Ryck were organized into this Congo Collection. The printed books, journals and offprints were added to MSU's Main Collection or the Area Files of the International (later Africana) Library.
