Biographical / Historical
The Seven Sutherland Sisters: Sarah, Victoria, Isabella, Grace, Naomi, Dora, and Mary Sutherland were musically inclined, but their main claim to fame was their extremely long locks. Collectively, their hair measured 36-37 feet. Their father, Rev. Fletcher Sutherland, concocted a hair ointment based on the one his wife had made and used on the girls' hair. The Seven Sutherland Sisters Corporation was created and several hair products were developed and sold. According to Brandon Stickney, author of
