Biographical / Historical
O.M. Scott founded the company in 1868 as a premium seed company for the U.S. agricultural industry. The Company began a lawn grass seed business for homeowners in the 1900s. The company grew from a leading lawn care business to an international marketer of industry-leading brands with a 1995 merger with Miracle-Gro.
