Biographical / Historical
Punk started as a subgenre of music during the 1970s. Many of the bands practiced out of garages and produced their own records. The music was faster with a more aggressive style. By the mid-1970s punk music had spread around the world. The band members in general were linked by a common anti-establishment mentality. The Punk Band Flyers and Posters Collection documents some of the art and graphics used to promote punk band concerts in the late 20th Century.
