Madison Area Committee on Southern Africa collection
Scope and Contents
The Madison Area Committee on Southern Africa collection documents many educational and fundraising campaigns for liberation movements in Southern Africa, including divestment by the University of Wisconsin. There are 28 issues of the MACSA newsletter and one folder from the Committee on Southern Africa of the First Congregational Church in Madison from 1971 to 1973. The documents cover 1969-1973 and 1975-1978. (MACSA continued throughout this entire period, but the donor did not live in Madison during the entire period and thus did not have a complete collection of materials.) Approximately 50 documents from this collection have been digitized and appear in the African Activist Archive website - http://africanactivist.msu.edu.
