Scope and Contents
The Alan C. G. Best African slide collection consists of approximately 3,500 slides documenting the history and culture of various countries in Africa from 1960-1992. Images include maps, aereal photographs, landscapes, cityscapes, daily life, traditional clothing, Apartheid and Anti-Apartheid activities, and celebrations such as Mbabane and Shembe.
