Biographical / Historical

Grace (Launt) Fancher was born in 1864. In 1885, she married Samnual Fancher. The couple lived in Walton, New York. Grace died in 1912 and is buried in Walton, New York.

Scope and content

This manuscript is a receipt book owned by Grace L. Fancher. The book includes mostly handwritten recipes, but also includes some newspaper clippings pasted on the pages. "Memorandum" and design printed on front cover. Stapled binding. Includes recipes for dishes, such as: feather cake, coffee cake, bread, creamed dried beef, pie crust, veal loaf, rice pudding, chili sauce, strawberry jam, lemon pie, pumpkin pie, and tar syrup. Pages 1-20 are missing. Pages 61-82 are blank.
