Biographical / Historical
The Original Michigan Fiddlers Association (OMFA) was founded in 1976 as a jamboree. Holding jamborees and contests throughout the state, the OMFA is an organization dedicating to preserving and sharing the legacy of Michigan's folk fiddle playing.

Custodial History
The collection was originally donated by the-OMFA President L. F. Jeffery to the Michigan State University School of Music in 2010. It was transferred to MSU Archives and then to MSU Special Collections in July 2019.
