Biographical / Historical
Qalandiya International is an art festival held every two years across cities and villages in Palestine. Founded in 2012, the festival features Palestinian and international artists and their work in exhibitions, talks, performances, workshops, and other events. The theme for the festival in 2018 was "Solidarity." Artists struggled to participate in all of the activities throughout Israel and Palestine because of restrictions on their travel.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
This collection was collected by Deborah Margolis from the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah, Palestine in March 2019. They were produced for Qalandiya International 2018. The posters were acquired during an event organized by Margolis and Asem Naser with Albie Sachs, part of Qais Assali's MSU Spring 2019 STA 491 class, which was a collaboration with young Palestinian artists.
